William Micheson Timlin (1893 - 1943) emigrated from England to South Africa before 1915 and studied art there, exhibiting his pen and ink and watercolour illustrations regularly, while working as an architect. He was also an author; The Ship that Sailed to Mars was published in 1923. A periodicals illustrator working in watercolour and oil and etchings.
