Barbara Brown

Barbara Brown was born in Surrey, England. She lived and worked in London after being educated at Hornsey College of Arts and Crafts and at the Royal College of Art.

She Illustrated many children’s books including many by Rudyard Kipling. She is especially well known as a designer of stamps for the Royal Mail including Jane Austen's bicentenary, Victorian women writers and a set of Christmas covers.

She designed artwork for enamelled commemorative boxes with Halcyon Days.
